Charli D’Amelio Joins Broadway’s & Juliet

Charli D’Amelio is going to Broadway for the first time. On Monday (Sept. 30), it was announced that the 20-year-old TikTok star will join the cast of & Juliet for three months.

Her performances will begin on October 29 and continue until January 19 at the Sondheim Theatre.

Charli D’Amelio made her Broadway debut in the musical & Juliet, a fun reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet that features popular songs.

She plays Charmion, a role that involves a lot of dancing as part of the ensemble. Originally, she was set to perform until January 19, 2025, but she decided to stay longer and will now be on stage through September 7, 2025.

Charli has been sharing her Broadway journey with fans on TikTok and other social media.

Charli D’Amelio’s Reaction to the cast of & Juliet

Today, on 28 May 2025, Charli D’Amelio shared her routine in the Broadway & Juliet show and a recording on TikTok.

“I’m beyond happy to finally tell you I’ll be joining the cast of & Juliet on Broadway!” Charli shared on Instagram. “Being on Broadway has been my biggest dream since I was a little girl. I always thought it was something I’d only watch from afar and never actually be part of. But now it’s really happening, and I’m so excited to start this new chapter and enjoy every moment.

Charli D’Amelio has gained over 150 million followers on TikTok, making her one of the most popular people on the app. In 2022, she won season 31 of Dancing With the Stars and released her first song, “If You Ask Me To”, that same year.

Charli D’Amelio shared how much this moment means to her, saying she couldn’t fully express it in words. She thanked everyone who has supported her, saying she wouldn’t have made it without them. She also gave a big thank you to the & Juliet team for letting her be part of such a special show, saying she’s truly grateful.

The musical & Juliet features hit songs by Max Martin, like Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”, Katy Perry’s “Roar”, and the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way”. It opened on Broadway in November 2022 and tells a new version of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet — imagining what would happen if Juliet had lived.

Right now, Maya Boyd plays Juliet, Ben Jackson Walker plays Romeo, and Drew Gehling takes on the role of Shakespeare.
